Delete Your Loftd Account

Your data. Your call. Two ways to delete your account and everything we hold about you.

If you can sign in to Loftd

Open the Loftd app on iOS or Android, or sign in to the web app at webapp.loftd.app.

Tap your profile picture (top-right) → Account & security → Delete account, and follow the confirmation steps.

Your account and personal data will be deleted promptly, in line with our Privacy Policy. You will receive an email confirmation.

If you cannot sign in

Email privacy@loftd.app from the email address associated with your Loftd account. Include:

The email address on your Loftd account
“Delete my account” in the subject line
Your approximate signup date, if you remember it

We verify your identity by matching the email you send from against our records. Your account will be deleted and you will receive a confirmation email within 30 days. In most cases, this happens within 72 hours.

What is deleted

When you delete your Loftd account, the following personal information is removed from our active systems:

Your profile (name, email, contact info)
Your authentication credentials
All linked bank and financial-account connections (connections to Plaid and other data providers are revoked)
Your transaction history and categorizations
Your budgets, net-worth history, and lifetime-wealth projections
Any documents you uploaded
Your conversation history with Loftd AI
Your subscription status (any active subscription is cancelled; see your App Store or Google Play account to confirm no further charges)

What may be retained, and why

Anonymized, aggregated analytics (for example, “a user in the US used the Amazon splitter 14 times before deleting”). These contain no personally identifying information and are used for product improvement only.
Financial recordkeeping logs required under U.S. financial-recordkeeping regulations, retained for 7 years. These are stored encrypted and are not accessible for any purpose other than legal and regulatory compliance.
Fraud-prevention records (such as flagged signup patterns), retained for a maximum of 2 years, used only to prevent abuse.

How long deletion takes

Promptly when initiated from inside the app (via Account & security → Delete account).
Up to 30 days when requested by email, though we aim to complete within 72 hours of receiving a verified request.

Confirmation

We send an email to the deleted account’s address confirming that deletion is complete. If you do not receive one within 30 days, please follow up at privacy@loftd.app.
